The first group of “A TOYS ORCHESTRA” was born in summer 1998,from the ashes of the punk-rock band named “Mesulid”.
After their partecipation in the fifth volume of the compilation “Soniche Avventure” and the winning competition “gruppo Soniche” of 2000 called by Sony/Fridge rec and Rock FM radio,in june 2001,they published their first album entitled “JOB” (Sony/fridge rec).
The album gets an axcellent agreements by the critic,carryng out the “A TOYS ORCHESTRA” among the promises of italian indie rock.
After the entry of Fausto Ferrara the band leaves the most traditional indie rock and gets new influences marked by a more sophisticated use of eletronics thanks to the use of samplers and drum machines as it is evident from the new compositions.
On 08/10/2003 they take part in and win “Musical Box.Notturno Musicale Festival” presented in the famous review “Frequenze Disturbate” Urbino (Italy).
They get a good success and later on they employed by the Locusta booking agency ,that together with  urtovox takes care of the live-management of the band.
In October A Toys Orchestra take part of the Beatles tribute promoted by Musicboom (a famous italian magazine) still available on line.
In Autumn 2003 the band leaves fridge rec and joins Urtovox,starting the new album  which was recorded and mixed in alpha studios dept. by the skilled Giacomo Fiorenza and with the artistic production of Paolo Naselli Flores,urtovox Deus ex machina.
The release “Cuckoo Boohoo” is published in the first half of october 20074 and it was cheered unanimously as one of the most beautiful album of the season 2005/2006 getting a very favourable press review thank also to the successful video clip of “Peter Pan Syndrome” , written and directed by talented video maker Fabio Luongo.
The clip besides the programming of MTV,ALL MUSIC tv,ROCKTV,RAISAT-EXTRA,and MATCH-MUSIC TV,is selected by the famous FANDANGO prize,gettino two prizes such as:

-Best original video clip (special “musica di Repubblica” prize)
-Best Photo (Fandango prize-“Video Clipped the radio star)

Besides the clip was inserted among the first ten clip in 2004 in the yearly hit parade organized by Musica di Repubblica,it wins Mei clip summer 2005,granted by CAPALBIO FILM FESTIVAL and it was selected in the INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM EXIBITION in Montecatini (italy) and in the short film O’Curt review by Santa Sofia Mediateca in Naples (italy).
At the beginning of 2005 there is a change of line up and the drummer Fabrizio Verta leaves and he is replaced by the young and talented Andrea Perillo.
A wide series of rewiews , interviews,radio and tv apparitions together with a continuous and qualified concerts activity in the best rock club and italian summer festival (over 160 live gigs in the 2005/06 season) are making the “A TOYS ORCHESTRA”  a real hope in the contemporary italian musical panorama and they are ready to win comparison with the european and international market.
The new album coming out next spring entitled “Technicolor Dreams” made up with Dustin O’Halloran (Devics) rapresents further growing for the young italian band.

Worth mentioning the collaboration with MIND YOUR MUSIC agency of Santa Monica (USA) for the introduction ot 3 passages from “Technicolor dreams” (Cornice Dance,Amnesy International,Technicolor dream) in the soundtrack of the film by Jess Manafort entitled “The Beautiful Ordinary” coming out in all the american cinema halls next summer.

Il primo nucleo degli …A Toys Orchestra nasce nell'estate del 1998, dalle ceneri del gruppo punk-rock Mesulid. Dopo la loro partecipazione nel quinto volume della compilation “Soniche Avventure” e la vincita del concorso  'Gruppo Soniche” del 2000' indetto da Sony/Fridge e Radio Rock Fm, nel giugno del 2001 pubblicano il loro primo album dal titolo “JOB” (Fridge).
L'album ottiene ottimi consensi da parte della critica di settore, catapultando gli A Toys Orchestra tra le promesse dell'indie rock italiano.
Con l'ingresso di Fausto Ferrara la band  sdogana l'indie rock più tradizionale per accogliere nuove influenze votate ad un uso più ricercato dell’elettronica grazie all’utilizzo di campionatori e drum machines, come è evidente dalle nuove composizioni del gruppo.
Il 10/08/03 Partecipano e vincono MusicalBox-notturno musicale, Festival ospitato nell'ambito della famosa rassegna Frequenze Disturbate di Urbino, venendo subito notati e successivamente ingaggiati dall'attenta agenzia di Booking LOCUSTA che insieme alla urtovox cura attualmente il live management della band. A Ottobre gli a toys orchestra partecipano al tributo ai Beatles promosso dal sito Musicboom.it e tuttora disponibile in rete. Nell'autunno del 2003 la band lascia la Fridge per passare alla Urtovox,  iniziando a lavorare concretamente al nuovo album , che viene registrato e mixato presso l'Alpha Departement del Groove studio di Bologna dall'esperta mano di Giacomo Fiorenza, con la produzione artistica di Paolo Naselli Flores,deus ex machina della urtovox. .
Il disco,dal titolo Cuckoo Boohoo ,esce a metà Ottobre del 2004 e viene acclamato all’unanimità come uno dei dischi più belli della stagione 2005/2006 ottenendo una assai lusinghiera rassegna stampa grazie anche al fortunato clip relativo al brano “PETER PAN SYNDROME” ,scritto e diretto dal talentuoso videomaker Fabio Luongo, che oltre a rientrare nella programmazione di MTV (night-zone in chiaro e brand:new sul satellite),RETE A all music,RockTV, Raisat-Extra e MatchMusic  viene selezionato dalla giuria del prestigioso Premio Fandango aggiudicandosi ben due premi come:
-Miglior videoclip originale (premio speciale Musica! di Repubblica)
-Migliore fotografia (premio Fandango: "Video Clipped the radio star)
Inoltre II clip viene inserito tra i primi 10 clip del 2004 nella classifica di fine anno stilata da Musica di Repubblica , vince il premio MEI clip estate 2005 assegnato nell’ambito del prestigioso Capalbio film festival, e viene selezionato alla Mostra internazionale di cortometraggio di Montecatini ed alla rassegna di cortometraggi O’CURT indetta dalla mediateca di S.Sofia di Napoli.
All’inizio del 2005 un cambio di line up vede salutare la band da parte del batterista Fabrizio Verta che abbandona lasciando il posto al giovanissimo e assai tecnicamente dotato Andrea Perillo.
Una fitta serie di recensioni, interviste, passaggi televisivi e radiofonici sostenuta da una incessante e qualificata attività concertistica nei migliori rock club e festival italiani (oltre 160 date nella stagione 2005/2006)  stanno facendo degli …A Toys Orchestra una speranza indiscussa dell’attuale panorama musicale italiano ,pronti a sostenere il confronto con il mercato europeo ed internazionale.
Il nuovo album in uscita il 19/03/2007 dal titolo “Technicolor Dreams”, realizzato in collaborazione con DUSTIN O’HALLORAN (DEVICS) alla produzione artistica rappresenta un ulteriore crescita per la giovane band campana.
Degno di nota infine la collaborazione con l’agenzia “MIND YOUR MUSIC” di Santa Monica,U.S.A. per l’inserimento di tre brani tratti da “Technicolor Dreams” (Cornice Dance  Amnesy International e Technicolor dream) nella colonna sonora del prossimo film di Jess Manafort dal titolo “The Beautiful Ordinary”  che uscirà in  tutte le sale cinematografiche americane la prossima primavera.
